Description

Periodic Maintenance, Inspection & Load Testing

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of your crane systems. If you want to maximize the service life of your cranes, maintain full operating capacity, and prevent costly production downtime, all maintenance work should be carried out by qualified professionals. Routine maintenance not only improves equipment performance but also minimizes the risk of workplace accidents and unexpected repair costs.

Maintenance intervals should be determined according to the crane’s operating hours. Under normal working conditions, cranes should undergo preventive maintenance at least four times per year, at three-month intervals, to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation.

Maintenance services can be categorized according to their purpose:

Corrective Maintenance
Maintenance performed to repair unexpected failures or breakdowns and restore the crane to normal operating condition.

General Maintenance
Comprehensive maintenance carried out at scheduled times during the year to inspect and service major crane components.

Planned Preventive Maintenance
Routine maintenance performed every three months to reduce wear, prevent unexpected failures, and significantly extend the operational life of the crane.

Major Overhaul
A complete annual inspection and maintenance program in which all mechanical, structural, and electrical components are thoroughly examined, serviced, and tested.

Preventive Maintenance & Modernization
Before failures occur, our technicians perform detailed inspections and functional tests to identify components that have reached the end of their service life. These parts are replaced proactively to prevent unexpected breakdowns. We can also upgrade older crane systems with modern technologies to improve efficiency, increase productivity, enhance safety, and reduce future maintenance requirements.

Periodic Inspection & Load Testing
Periodic inspections and load testing should be carried out at least once a year to verify the safe operating condition and performance of your crane. During these tests, all critical operating characteristics are evaluated, allowing potential defects or safety concerns to be identified before they become serious problems. This proactive approach helps improve workplace safety, maintain regulatory compliance, and minimize the risk of accidents.

At SM Crane Systems, we offer comprehensive maintenance agreements tailored to your operational needs, becoming a reliable long-term service partner for your business. Before every maintenance program, we conduct detailed technical assessments to determine the most effective and cost-efficient service plan. In addition to crane maintenance, our TSE-certified team is fully authorized to perform periodic inspections and load testing for all types of industrial work equipment, ensuring full compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
